Prediction of subsequent miscarriage risk in women who present with a viable pregnancy at the first early pregnancy scan. Oldest First babymuffie at 6:36 PM hey, I don’t have much advice to offer. I wish you all the best.Stamatopoulos N, Lu C, Casikar I, et al. The sonographer said she could see a gestational sac and yolk sac but no. I would just keep the faith and hang on to the fact that you saw the flicker. A 7 week fetus MUST have a visible heartbeat. (This is why some OB's don't even attempt to hear a heartbeat via a doppler until after 12 weeks)īeing that you saw a flicker on the screen (even though you couldn't hear it) is GREAT! and being that your OB was doing it and not a tech maybe that is why he was having problems with the machine. She told me that it is very hard to find a HB via a doppler even at 10weeks. I was a mess.she had me do another ultrasound that same day an abdominal one and we saw and heard the heartbeat of 178BPM. At my 10 week 5 day appointment she attempted to find the heartbeat via a doppler but couldn't find it. We couldn't hear it but we saw the flicker at 125BPM. I called my OB and begged her to do my follow up ultrasound a week later at 6weeks 5 days and at that appoinment we saw the heartbeat via transvaginal ultrasound. I went home in tears but tried to stay optimistic. RE was NOT very optimistic and told me I had a 50/50 chance. We saw the fetal pole and the yolk sac BUT no heartbeat. I went in to do a transvaginal ultrasound at what I thought was 5 weeks exactly However I measured 5weeks 5 days. I am not an expert either but here is what happened to me. I know its alot of reading, but I would soooo appreciate any and all advice right now! Theyve said they expect me to start miscarrying as even at 6. Theyve booked me in for another scan next week just in case my dates are wrong & its too early to pick up a heartbeat but I know my dates are right so this is just procedure really. Any thoughts? My husband is convinced the dates are off and I'm not that far, but I got a BFP with CBE and first response test on 2/17. There was no heartbeat on the scan & baby is measuring more like 6 & a half weeks. When there was no heartbeat I asked my OB about a D&C and they said absolutely not because of the risks and that they only do them if absolutely necessary. A D&C has many risks including fibroids in the uterus, internal bleeding, etc. I know a flicker is way better than nothing! I've been through that in October. The heartbeat did not return, I miscarried two days after my ultrasound. Should I have hope at this point? he said 6w6d he should get a good hb. also put me on baby asprin and progestrone. (in-room u/s machiene by my OB, not a tech) He said he "wasn't encouraged" and to come back in a week. he just kept turning the sound on and off. with our last pregnancy she didn't attempt to hear it at 6 weeks, but could click around and measure the heartrate on the screen. we seen a slow flicker on the screen but he couldn't pick up with a doppler. Here are my dates for starters- LMP 1/18 what I thought was a positve opk 2/5 and 2/6 (which I realize now may not have been completely positive for a couple days- it was my first time using them and dollar tree brand) 1st ultrasound- last tuesday 3/4- measured 5w1d and seen a yolk sac (circle) last u/s- exactly 2 weeks later 3/18- measured 6w6d instead of 7w1d.
